‘Hot Spot,’ is a new column in MOOV that is making its debut in this Issue. The column features favorite ‘must-go’ places, hence the name ‘Hot Spot.’
I have to kick off this section with making ‘7 West Café,’ the Hot Spot pick for the 2017 winter season. ‘7 West’ has been one of my favorite spots to go to in downtown, Toronto for over a decade. The food and atmosphere have never failed me, and when ever I go I’m never disappointed. Over the years, I’ve brought a ton of my people to this charming restaurant/café and they’ve all enjoyed the food, drink and experience.
The ‘7 West Café’ is located downtown, Toronto in a Victorian style 3-storey townhouse. Each floor has its own look and feel to suit various occasions. On the top floor there is an indoor/outdoor patio. They’re food, drinks and desserts are delicious and the spot is open for 24 hours per day and 7 days a week, which is another added awesome benefit.
Over the years ‘7 West’ has been noticed by Toronto and has received a number of awards and titles like; ‘Best Late Munchies’ by DineTO, ‘Best First Date’ by Now Magazine Readers Poll in 1996 and by Readers Choice Eye Weekly in 2006, ‘Best After Hours Hangout by Toronto’s Best Eye Weekly in 2000, ‘Most Memorable Meal Awards’ by MMM in 2007, ‘Best Late Night Café’ by Eye Weekly in 2001, and ‘Best Café’ by Readers Choice Eye Weekly in 2008, just to name a few. ‘7 West Café’ is a classic Toronto spot, as well as one of the most recognized late night dinning restaurants in the city of Toronto. They have been serving good service, delicious food and memorable experiences for over 20 years.
If you haven’t already been there, check them out at 7 Charles Street West. Since they are always open you can go for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a late bite to eat, for a drink or a latte even if you just feel for a sweet slice of cake. You won’t regret the experience and neither will your taste buds.
